About My Role
Having 20 years experience working in the third sector at every level and having worked very closely with CEOs and boards to develop sustainable, successful services, I provide key analysis, insight and knowledge that will help to move your organisation to a more sustainable future.
Together, we can make sure that the services to your beneficiaries are maintained and that you move forward in the shifting sands with surety and direction.
My governance and systems audit service provides a no-nonsense, no holds barred analysis of your organisation. I act as a critical friend identifying problem areas, assets, threats and opportunities without being encumbered by personal agenda, emotional needs, outside influence, and politics. My analysis is objective, independent, and robust. Your organisation can trust that you are getting the best and most up-to-date knowledge without the drama.
My implementation mapping service works with you to maximise your assets, identify and acquire tools and resources that are of benefit to your organisation, and to minimise waste. A design and implementation programme working with your budget and timeframe that will lead to better outcomes from the top to the bottom of your organisation.
Where operational procedures are causing roadblocks and inefficiency I use my talents and skill at designing logic-based systems that will maximise your outputs and lead to efficient and timely use of the tools and resources within your organisation.
I do not push for or insist upon taking on extra expenses where those expenses cannot be met; I work with you and your board to get the most mileage from your budgets using out-of-the-box thinking where appropriate but not reinventing the wheel when it isn’t.
Equality and diversity are at the heart of what I do. As a disabled person and due to my professional experience I am able to provide understanding and insight into how to include people living with long-term health conditions, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities into the workplace both at home and in the office.this
My service delivery model fits in with your budget and your needs. I offer hourly, day, and retainer rates in addition to short-term project agreements. An initial discussion, brief and quote are provided at no charge to your organisation. If you would like to know more and arrange an informal discussion please get in touch.
Let me support your organisation to become all that it can be.
Implementation
A Revamped Delivery Model for Nonprofit Consultancy Services.
In response to concerns about the overuse of consultants within the nonprofit sector, a transformative delivery model is emerging. Traditionally, third sector organisations employed dedicated roles like comms officers, DPOs, fundraisers, and bid writers. However, budget constraints have led organisations to assign these responsibilities to frontline staff and project managers, often resulting in burnout and a lack of specialised expertise.
Recognising this challenge, a new approach is gaining traction. Consultants, such as myself, offer on-demand support to organisations precisely when they need it. This ensures access to expert assistance without the burden of additional staffing costs. The key advantage is that organisations receive high-quality expertise on-demand, supporting their goals without straining budgets or overwhelming staff.
In this evolving landscape, I leverage a network of seasoned professionals to provide specialised support beyond my services. By collaborating with your organisation, we identify and address specific needs, drawing on strategic partnerships for a comprehensive and tailored consultancy experience.
Unlock the benefits of this innovative model – tailored expertise, cost-effectiveness, and responsive support – ensuring your organisation thrives while prioritising the well-being of your staff and the beneficiaries you serve.
